So, what exactly is a Cleansing Balm? A cleansing balm is a solid, oil-based cleanser, usually packaged in either a stick or a tub. Since cleansing balms are made from oils, they are particularly adept at removing all the gunk that collects on your skin during the day. Makeup, air pollution, dirt – all that stuff gets stuck in your skin’s natural oils. Traditional cleansers use soap to dissolve that oil to get your skin squeaky clean.
